Bethany R. Turke

Partner

“At WBE, our success comes from an unwavering dedication to the pursuit of justice. We work tirelessly to protect and vindicate the rights of those who have been harmed by the misconduct of others.”

Bethany joined WBE in 2012 and has a diverse practice including antitrust, consumer protection, investor, and whistleblower litigation.

Early in her career, Bethany and her team obtained asylum for a pro bono client who had been persecuted in her home country. This experience inspired Bethany to dedicate her work to protecting the rights and interests of those who have suffered at the hands of those more powerful.

Bethany currently works to protect consumers, taxpayers, and investors in myriad contexts. In 2016, she began representing the City of Chicago in one of the first lawsuits challenging pharmaceutical companies’ unlawful and deceptive marketing of opioids. Bethany also challenges name-brand drug manufacturers’ efforts to delay competition from generic drugs, the unlawful collection of employee and consumer biometric information, and fraudulent and misleading conduct concerning the sale of securities. She is also active in the firm’s whistleblower/false-claims practice, having helped spearhead litigation against a major investment bank for underpricing municipal bonds issued by the State of New Jersey.
